What is the best painkiller for a toothache? The mango tree has so many health benefits, to use it as a treatment for toothache, cut some bark from the mango tree, (a handful). Wash properly with salt to disinfect it, then put it in a pot, add a pinch of potash, and add 2 liters of water.

Let it boil properly (30 minutes or more), then let it cool down overnight. In the morning, warm it up and put some in a glass cup (half cup). Pour in your mouth, like you will use a mouthwash. Hold in it in for some minutes while and let it circulate around the affected areas.

You can hold it in your mouth for 10 minutes or more, then spit it out. Repeat the process for the next 2 days and feel the result.

Clove oil

Clove oil is another toothache remedy, you need just a little quantity (a drop) on a ball of cotton wool and apply on the affected area. Repeat process 3 times a day for 3 days.

Do not apply concentrated clove oil directly as this can cause injury or mouth ulcers. It must be diluted with olive oil or coconut oil before use.

Salt is a natural disinfectant, using saltwater for toothache is also beneficial. If you have a toothache, you can use salt water to rinse your mouth after a meal, this will kill hidden bacterias and also wash out food particles.

Galic and Tumeric

Garlic and Tumeric have health benefits, they both help reduce pains from toothache. Garlic and Tumeric also help fight germs/bacteria in the teeth because of lysine content.

To do this, either grind the garlic and apply to the affected area or chew the garlic, do this twice a day. To use Tumeric mix the Tumeric with honey and apply to the area where you feel the pain.

Most people don’t like an onion because of the smell neglecting the health benefit of onions. If you can use garlic or withstand the smell of garlic, then onion should be much of a problem.

To use this, grind a fresh red onion into a paste, apply it to the affected area, allow it to sit for a while before rinsing out. You can repeat this process as much as it brings you comfort.

Remember, wash or brush your teeth every time you apply any of these remedies. Brush teeth twice a day, and floss once a day to maintain good teeth hygiene.
